In this informational text unit, your team will be researching two types of dangerous weather phenomenon. After comparing and contrasting the similarities and differences of your weather phenomenon, you will produce a multimedia presentation of your information.
Research Process: Gathering and analyzing information
Organizing information: compare-contrast models
Your group has two choices for presenting your information:
1. Subject-by-subject comparisons: discuss all of the points about subject 1 before moving on to discuss subject 2. Make sure that each subject is covering information that shares commonalities and differences with the other subject.
2. Point-by-point comparisons: discuss the first point of comparison or contrast for both subjects. Then, continue this pattern as you discuss all the major features of both weather phenomenon.

final Presentation: A filmed Multimedia presentation
After researching your weather phenomenon, your team will produce a short (approximately 3-5 minute) film using FlipGrid. The format of your presentation is your choice, but you must:
- hook your audience and introduce your two subjects
- clearly discuss the similarities and differences between the five main points on your team's chart
- conclude your presentation by summarizing the information
- include a multimedia/visual component: slide show, map, diagram, images, short video clip
- include each team member-- everyone needs a role!
